TOXFREE® N2XH flex is a cable for public places and critical power
TOXFREE® N2XH flex cables are widely installed European power cables for electricity supply in 600/1000V fixed installations in public buildings. Their fire non-propagation and non-toxic gasses emission outer sheath (CPR B2ca, Cca) makes them the safest option in the event of a fire, where smoke and corrosive gasses would pose a risk to life and sensitive equipment. Our TOXFREE® N2XH flex cable is UV-resistant, water-resistant AD8 (submersion) and suitable for direct burial without external protection. It can be installed in dry and damp environments, on or under plaster, on cable trays, in walls, masonry and in concrete.

DESIGN:
1 – Electrolytic copper conductor, class 5 (flexible).
2 – Cross-linked polyethylene insulation (XLPE).
3 – Low-smoke, halogen-free polyolefin outer sheath.

DESIGNED FOR FASTER INSTALLATION
TOXFREE® N2XH Flex is an ultra-flexible power cable that meets the most demanding industrial requirements. Its outstanding flexibility is excellent news for installers, who will find it simplifies their work when installing the cable in complex layouts.
This ease of installation not only influences the work of the technician carrying out the work; the cable’s flexibility also minimises the project costs, as the cable’s flexibility will save a lot of time spent on the project and consequently reduce the cost of labour.
Also noteworthy is its ability to not crack under vibration due to its flexible copper conductors.
TECHNICAL CHARACTERISTICS OF TOXFREE® N2XH FLEX
Above all, the cable stands out for its extreme flexibility. Still, beyond that, it has other technical features for installation, such as a higher thermoelectric capacity of its conductor compared to other PVC-insulated conductors).

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQ) ABOUT THE TOXFREE® N2XH CABLE
What is a N2XH power cable?
N2XH cables are widely used European power cables used for electricity supply for fixed installations with a voltage rating of 600/1000V in public buildings. Their fire non-propagation and non-toxic gases emission outer sheath (CPR B2ca, Cca) makes them the safest option for use where smoke and corrosive gases would pose a risk to life and sensitive equipment in the event of a fire.
What is the difference between a portable cable and a power cable?
A portable cable is designed for temporary power supply, whereas power cables are usually installed in permanent applications.
Which power cables are most commonly used?
Class 5 (flexible) copper power cable, such as TOXFREE® N2XH. This type of cable is suitable for the transmission of electrical power in all types of industrial low-voltage connections, in urban networks, building installations, etc. The power cables consist of a copper conductor, a protective insulation and an outer sheath.
What other features does TOXFREE® N2XH flex cable have?
In addition to all the features explained so far, we also highlight:
Maximum short-circuit temperature: 250°C (maximum 5 s).
Minimum installation and handling temperature: 0°C (on the cable surface).
Minimum service temperature: -40ºC (fixed and protected installations).
Impact resistance: AG2 Medium severity.
CPR B2ca-s1a, d1, a1 certification.
What is the fire performance of N2XH cables?
Not all N2XH cables perform the same. Our TOXFREE® N2XH FLEX has the best performance against the event of a fire:
Flame non-propagation according to EN-IEC 60332-1.
Fire non-propagation according to EN-IEC 60332-3-24 and EN 50399.
CPR reaction to fire: B2ca-s1a,d1,a1 according to NEN-EN 50575.
Halogen-free according to EN 60754-1 / IEC 60754.
Low emission of corrosive gasses EN-IEC 60754-2.
Low smoke emission, according to EN-IEC 61034.
Light transmittance > 80%.
